Expandable Graphite is made from natural flake graphite by chemical or electro-chemical treatment. When it is under high temperature, it can expand 150 to 400 times in volume instantaneously. Expandable graphite is the basic material for making flexible graphite sheet.

Flexible graphite has all the unique characteristics of mineral graphite and is being used in a wide range of industrial applications. It is an excellent sealing material and can be used for making chemical and high temperature resistant gaskets, sealing parts, compression packing, etc.
